All payments are due at the time of booking to hold your date. This includes a refundable facility deposit of $200 + cost of rental + any additional items that you indicate at the time of booking.
If your event is cancelled 6 weeks prior to the event, your payment will be returned to you.
Following your event, the deposit will be returned to you if there is no damage; nothing missing; if the hall is left clean, tidy and the furniture left in the same location as you found it. See attached diagram.
Main Hall and Kitchen $600 for the day. Main Hall and Kitchen $300 for half day. Main Hall and Kitchen $1,200 for 3 full days.
All rentals include wifi, tables, chairs, dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee urns, kettles, pots, dishes & cutlery. Please note; wifi service is not guaranteed, as it is dependent upon the provider.
Bartenders are Smart Serve qualified board representatives.
Renters pay bartenders $20/hour each. A minimum of 2 bartenders are required. Both bartender’s service will commence 30 minutes prior to the bar opening and will extend 1 hour after the bar closes to ensure the bar is cleaned; all the liquor has been removed from the hall and off the premises within 45 minutes after closing.
*The Tyrone Community Centre will assign smart serve qualified bartenders.
This policy is designed to prevent alcohol related problems and to ensure that those using our venue get maximum enjoyment from it. By reducing potential alcohol related problems we can reduce the risk of liability actions.
Anyone wishing to serve alcohol must complete the agreement form outlining the conditions under which alcohol may be served. The responsible person must obtain a Special Occasion Permit from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). The permit holder must ensure all conditions of the Liquor License Act, Municipal By-Laws and Policies and Procedures are adhered to at the event. The Board reserves the right to refuse an applicant permission to run a licensed event.
The permit holder shall provide confirmation of liability insurance coverage including alcohol liability coverage. The permit holder agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Tyrone Community Centre Board of Directors, its members, and the Municipality of Clarington from any and all claims, actions, damages, liabilities or proceeding arising from or related to the use of the facility and premises, including but not limited to matters connected with the service of alcohol.
The renter is responsible for communicating smoking by-laws to your guests. Smoking and vaping are prohibited within nine metres of all public entrances/exits and within 20 metres of all public park properties in Durham Region.
